…becuase I asked my new principal today if we can start a Bible club. I had a little folder with papers explaining exactly what I am wanting to happen and everything. I even made an effort to look nice. Which for me is like… whoa.

I went up to him and he just acted annoyed. He told me we had a FCA. I said it hasn’t been active for over two years and I’m not an athlete. He replied by muffling that I didn’t have to be an athlete and he would take what I said into consideration.

I don’t know how it’s all going to work out. I just hope he’s prepared to be annoyed for the next 174 days.

Please, pray that God softens his heart toward this. I really want this to work out.

a round of a hand August 17, 2008

Yea, that ^^ is what I said today at church. I meant to say” a round of applause” or “a hand”, but as you can see my dyslexia kicked in and I messed it up.

Anyway, today went well. I felt like everything, rather everybody, was really tired. Worship went as good as can be expected for not having regular worship for the past two weeks. I noticed while I was talking I used the word “um” a lot. I usually don’t, so I am wondering why I did that.

School: I’m going to talk to my principal either tomorrow or Tuesday about starting a Bible study. So, please be praying. Also, anybody got some cool names we could call our group?? I’ve been thinking about it… and I am lame at stuff like that.

Creative Chaos:: smackdown August 14, 2008

I really do dare all of you to be this creative. I know I’m not. I know the kids who are in this are not even completely this creative. But I know we serve a creative God who is stirring, and He wants us to be prepared for what He has planned.

I’ll give you the time in the video where they are, but you can also fast forward to look for other things like: drama, vocal solo, short sermon, dance, Christian band, and soo much more. 

Here are my top three:
Human Video Ensemble Small. 77:52- 85:11
Never, ever, ever have I seen a small human video be this amazing. Not kidding, I cried when I saw it. Just at the part where you can tell Jesus is saying “Father, forgive them.” Whoa. goosebumps.

Instrumental Collaborated. 107:10-112:11
They call this piece the dueling guitars because one is left handed and one is right handed. =] I wish I could play like them. Very, very good.

Human Video Ensemble Large. 124:50- 132:09
Not only do these guys have an amazing story line, (following the life of Judas) but their facials are amazing, their music is techno, and they did popping at the beginning. Oh, it was fantabulous!

I hope this encourages all of you to be different and step out of your comfort zone when it comes to creativity. I know I am going to be thinking of things differently, and I thank God for the opportunity. That He would use me is just… well, incredible.

New Category August 13, 2008

School.

Or should I say hell?? They are the same to me.

Nah, I’m kidding. School isn’t that bad. I just REALLY don’t want to be there. Especially the first day.
I mean, everyone’s like, “Oh, I missed you so much!”
Well, maybe you missed me so much because you didn’t call me all summer and never responded to my e-mails. Yea, don’t feed me that crap.
There are a select few human beings which I actually enjoy seeing on the first day of school. This group is filled with band geeks, sarcastic trouble makers, and artistic nerds. They make life interesting.

Anyway, first thing in the morning (Really, we’ve only been at school like five minutes.) the fire alarm goes off in the school. Oh wait, they didn’t mention a fire drill?
They yell at us for being slow. Uh, we didn’t know where to go since we all have new class rooms with new fire codes. duh.

Then I figure out my lunch was changed from A to B. poo.

I go to College Anatomy. There are maybe three juniors in the class, and the rest are seniors. The teacher starts talking about how every kid in the class must want to have a medical career. Mmm, no. I am just interested in learning as much as possible and having a good resume for college.
And what’s up with all of our home work and quizzes being done online??? I’m so terribly not technologically advanced.

Then I’m told my lunch is changed from B to C.

Then we move class rooms for study hall.

Then I learn my lunch is changed from C to A.

Ending out the day with block, which is honors English and History. This, I knew, would be interesting just because I have heard a lot about the teachers. There were 45 kids in this class. =O
They try to scare some kids out by giving us 300 Greek roots, prefixes, and suffixes that we will be testing on. I am actually happy, because If I want to go into Theology then I should learn that anyway.

Then I learn that my friend Beth has an aunt that works at the school who will let us use her room in the mornings to have a Bible study in. My day suddenly seemed so much better.

Last night at a party, this girl walks up to about 10 girls and asks, “How many of you would marry Michael Phelps?” Every girl raised her hand. Including me. haha.

Whoa, sorry August 12, 2008

Sorry I haven’t posted in awhile. I kind of liked not posting though. haha. It was just a break.

Well, I got back about two days ago from Nationals in Charlotte. It was such an amazing time. I was able to hang out with some friends and see God’s power in the services. Planetshakers were there; and yes, they played Healer. Every night. It was incredible, and I got it on tape. hehe. I have some pics too.

Being a worship leader every Sunday, it was nice just being a worshipper. I learned a lot from watching the Planetshakers. There were 13,000 teenagers there. Watching every single one of them worship God with all they have was the most inspiring thing I have ever seen. God was truly moving, and I am so happy to have been a part.

There was so much going on in the services. I wish that there was a really good way to let everyone experience what I did.

New Subject:: School. EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!
I have College Anatomy, Trig, and Honors English and History this year. Sweet Jesus please help me! I have a lot going on this school year. I have realized that I cannot do it all. That’s why I am leaning on God. He will be my strength, my power, and perseverance through all of it. Soo, thanks God, in advance.

oh oh oh. And I got the new Hillsong CD. Brilliant.

Going, Going, Gone August 1, 2008

I’m heading off to Charlotte, North Carolina early tomorrow morning. It’s going to be really fun; I can’t wait!!

First, I need to go set up at the church. Two weeks without me. I don’t know how everyone is going to survive. haha no, I’m kidding. Everything is set out for worship, and it’ll be great. The videos I made really suck though. I mean really. They are horrible. The rest will be awesome though!!!

I think there is an internet lounge at the convention center. So, you might here from me within the next seven days, you might not. I’ll hopefully be able to take a ton of pics though.

Well, I have to run! Be praying we do well on our human video.

Almost time to go July 30, 2008

I’ve been pretty busy the last two days trying to get everything ready for worship for the next two weeks. I’m going to be gone in North Carolina for Nationals. =]

It’s crazy trying to get everything prepared, but I think it will turn out really well.
I’m really excited about Nationals this year. It’s going to be a lot different for me. The Planetshakers are going to be there again! I love them. Mostly because they are Australian. haha. Their music will be awesome too.

We’re also going to a theme park that’s down there. I don’t remember what it’s called, but I’m totally up for some roller coasters.

After that it’s time for school. =[[[[[[[[[ I can’t believe it’s here already. I’m really sad about it, but this video always cheers me up.

Goats on a hillside July 28, 2008

I was searching for verses on beauty and creation for something I’m working on at church. I typed the words up in a search engine, and I came across this verse in Song of Songs:

“Your beauty is too much for me—I’m in over my head. I’m not used to this! I can’t take it in. Your hair flows and shimmers like a flock of goats in the distance streaming down a hillside in the sunshine.”

hahahaha. I totally want someone to tell me I look like a goat…
Not only did he compare her to goats, but goats in the distance. Like if he squints she looks just like a goat. 

I am kind of concerned that a woman would ever be truly flattered by a comment like this. I suppose at one time it might have been considered a compliment, but really? A goat?

Quick question for you guys. Would you rather have a female or male worship leader? Which voice is easier to follow? Can you sing along easier with one more than the other??
